Barefoot safety shoe Phoenix ESD
The Phoenix ESD from BAAK sets new standards in the category of barefoot safety shoes. This low-cut shoe is specifically designed to maximize both comfort and protection. The upper is made from high-quality textile with robust TPU applications, complemented by a padded tongue that increases wearing comfort.
The safety features include an aluminum toe cap and a metal-free NeoShield penetration guard. The antibacterial and breathable functional textile of the lining ensures hygiene and climate comfort. The EVA midsole and the slip-resistant rubber outsole provide excellent cushioning and stability.
Additionally, the shoe is antistatic according to EN ISO 20345 and meets the safety class S3S with additional requirements such as HRO and FO. Available in sizes 36 to 48 and in an attractive black-gray color combination, this unisex safety shoe is an ideal choice for a variety of work environments.

ESD approved
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S3S
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant textile insole (tested with a 3 mm test nail with at least 1100 N pressure), a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Aluminum toe cap
Aluminum toe caps are approx. 40 % lighter than steel caps, but do not rust. They have very high stability and durability and are recyclable.
Slip resistance SR
The shoe is slip-resistant on ceramic tile floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Very lightweight shoe
The shoe is made of textile material and therefore has a low weight (size 42 less than 500 g). The low weight significantly reduces the effort and energy required from the wearer.
Vegan
The shoe is leather-free and free from other animal products. No animal materials or auxiliary materials with components of animal origin are used in production either.
