Legend to the table

a
In situations where EPA clothing (according to IEC 61340-4-9) is used as part of the wrist strap grounding path, the resistance of the complete system should be including person, protective clothing and grounding cable should be < 3.5 x 107 Ω.
b
Symbols used in this table: Rg corresponds to resistance to ground and Rgp refers to resistance to groundable point.
c
For the product qualification of footwear according to IEC 61340-4-3, the environmental conditions for the test should be (12 ± 3) % relative humidity and (23 ± 2) °C.
d
A periodic test of the generated body voltage should be performed to verify that the voltage is less than 100 V.
e
The threshold of the resistance applies to the successive measurement of a single foot at a time, not both feet at the same time.
f
The required threshold of<1.0 x 109 Ω is the highest allowable value. The user should set an upper limit based on the resistance values measured for the product qualification of the footwear and floor system which ensure a maximum generated body voltage of 100 V, and use these resistance values for the verification of compliance.
