The pliers shanks of the Knipex ESD electronics gripping pliers are forged from special tool steel, oil-hardened, carefully deburred, mirror-polished and completed with an opening spring and rivet to form the gripping pliers. The rust protection of the pliers is harmless for circuits because there is no chrome plating. The pliers are well protected against corrosion thanks to mirror polishing and a fine film of oil.
