Colorex EC, electrically conductive
Colorex EC
Colorex EC has a bleeder resistance of 5 x 104 ≤ R ≤ 1 x 106 Ω and is suitable for earthing people via the man-shoe-floor system (IEC 61340-4-5) to protect electronic components and equipment from personal discharges. Suitable for demanding areas of application - new construction of ESD areas, operating theaters/intensive care units, clean rooms, explosion-proof rooms, electrical and pharmaceutical industries..
Product advantages
- Constant conductivity over the entire service life
The unique material construction of Colorex enables constant conductivity over the entire service life of the covering, regardless of humidity and temperature, without the use of volatile antistatic agents. - Cleanroom suitability
Meets the highest requirements for particle emission behavior and reduces contamination by molecular airborne particles.
The Fraunhofer Institute in Munich has certified Colorex for particle emission testing under tribological load and cleanroom suitability ISO class 2 and outgassing behavior according to the TD-GS/MC method. - Germ and particle-free surface
Meets the highest hygiene requirements with its antimicrobial, compact and non-porous surface.
The Fraunhofer Institute successfully tested Colorex for the adhesion of microorganisms and for microbial metabolizability. Resilient
Excellent resistance to dynamic and mechanical stresses. - Resistant to chemicals
Excellent chemical resistance thanks to high uniform compaction. - 100% repairability
Deep and long scratches, holes and burns can be removed effectively and without a trace without impairing the original properties of the flooring. - Decontaminable
Hazardous contamination from radionuclides can be removed without leaving any residue.
Structure of Colorex
Colorex uses dimensionally stable and dimensionally stable, conductive coated chips instead of “liquid” chemical additives (antistatic agents).
As a result, the electrical properties of the flooring are permanently constant. In addition, the conductivity is not impaired by humidity and ageing.
The homogeneity achieved through extreme high-pressure pressing makes Colorex a highly durable covering. It is not only resistant to high point loads, but is also resistant to damage caused by static and dynamic loads thanks to its excellent wear behavior.
Possible uses
Thanks to its high-density material, the surface of Colorex is completely smooth and non-porous, making it suitable for use in clean rooms. It also has extremely low degassing behavior, which is becoming increasingly important for use in cleanrooms.
Repair
Even repairs such as deep and long scratches, holes, burns and other more or less serious surface damage can be easily and effectively repaired with Colorex without leaving a trace and without affecting the original properties of the floor covering. 100% repairability is a unique Colorex feature.
Care and value retention
Loose dirt can be removed by vacuuming or damp mopping with impregnated disposable cloths. Alternatively, the floor can be spray-cleaned using a single-disc machine with a red pad and spray device with a neutral and wax-free cleaning solution. Clean large areas with a suitable scrubbing machine. Clean the edges manually.
