We offer application-oriented training courses and seminars based on the requirements of the ESD standards IEC (DIN EN) 61340-5-1 (VDE0300-5-1). Individual operational requirements and customer-oriented, theoretical and practical topics can be integrated through a flexible and modular course structure. The training content is conveyed in theoretical form and practical examples in an application-oriented manner.

ESD Basic training
Half-day training
The ESD basic training course provides participants with the necessary basics and knowledge for ESD safety in production and assembly. All employees in these areas require basic ESD training. No previous knowledge is required. Practical examples are used to demonstrate how electrostatic charges are generated and the effect of suitable ESD protection measures. Company-specific requirements can be taken into account in the training content.
Each participant receives detailed training documentation and a certificate of attendance.
We also offer 1.5-hour refresher courses for employees who have already received training.

ESD Specialist
1-day training
The ESD specialist knows the interrelationships in the field of electrostatics and how ESD protective measures work. They support the ESD coordinator. This training provides the knowledge required to independently carry out, evaluate and document measurements for the verification of ESD control elements in accordance with the ESD control program plan.

ESD Coordinator
2-day seminar
An ESD control program set up in accordance with the DIN standard requires the appointment of an ESD coordinator who is responsible for implementing the requirements of the standard. We offer regular seminars for ESD coordinators.
Essential content includes basic ESD knowledge, measurement of ESD control elements, knowledge of work area analysis and documentation in the ESD control program plan. A good understanding of electrostatics ensures the best possible training success.

ESD Management
This training course is aimed at people with decision-making powers in areas where ESD-sensitive components and parts are handled. For management and decision-makers, the training focuses on risk assessment as well as product liability and commercial aspects.
ESD protection influences product and manufacturing quality. Inadequate ESD protection leads to reduced quality and complaints from your customers. These aspects are often given insufficient consideration.
The ESD training for management and decision-makers takes place on site at your company and is flexibly timed to suit your training needs (half-day recommended).

The practice-oriented training builds on existing basic knowledge in the field of electrostatics and knowledge of the potential hazards to electronic components.
We train your employees in accordance with standards and impart the knowledge they need to support your ESD coordinator during measurements. Participants acquire the relevant knowledge to be able to carry out, evaluate and document measurements for the verification of ESD control elements in accordance with the ESD control program plan.

Customized ESD services
As part of our EPAconsult® overall program, we offer you competent advice according to your individual requirements, such as an inventory of the existing ESD protection and needs assessment as well as the development of an ESD protection concept with concrete proposals.
Regular verification measurements are required to prove the effectiveness of ESD protection measures. These include measurements of the discharge resistances of ESD floors, work tables and storage surfaces, ESD chairs, shelves and transport trolleys, to name just a few examples. The function of the ionizers is checked as well as all components used as ESD protection.
We offer you the opportunity to carry out and record these measurements for you using our equipment.
On request, we can prepare a test report that evaluates the ESD protection measures in context.
The ESD protection measures introduced serve to reduce the risk of failure, i.e. to ensure quality. These measures are usually integrated into the quality management system. An ESD control program with an ESD control program plan is required as proof. This documentation is required in order to be audited in accordance with the ESD standard IEC DIN EN 61340. It is also often required for customer audits.
We support you in the preparation of this comprehensive documentation, which is required for an auditable ESD protection concept.
The function of the ESD control program introduced in your company is confirmed by an independent audit. Document checks, plausibility and random sample measurements are naturally part of the audit. You will receive a detailed audit report and a certificate.
The ESD measuring devices required to measure the control elements must be calibrated regularly. We offer you this service. The devices are calibrated internally by DPV or by an external provider. We are also at your disposal for support requests and repairs.
