The QO 500 ESD in White is a highly functional ESD occupational shoe by Birkenstock, specifically designed for use in EPA zones. This low shoe is available in sizes 35 to 46 and complies with the standards DIN EN 61340, EN ISO 20347:2012, O2. The upper material is made of high-quality leather, and the model is equipped with a continuously conductive original BIRKENSTOCK footbed, which reliably prevents static discharges.
The slip-resistant nitrile rubber outsole offers oil and gasoline resistance and meets the anti-slip class SRC. Additional protection is provided by the QS 500 ESD S3 variant, which is equipped with a steel toe cap as well as scratch-resistant toe protection and a metal-free penetration guard. The shoe weight is 237 g for size 42, and the shoes are equipped with a replaceable insole made of cork and microfiber, which ensures optimal comfort and foot support.

Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Work shoe class O2
Shoes without a protective toe cap. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a closed heel area and meet the requirements for water penetration and water absorption.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
