The HKS AirLite ESD safety sandal combines high safety standards with modern design and comfort for professional use. The upper is made of breathable mesh, complemented by a dust protection flap and a PU toe cap that provides additional protection. The sandal features a steel toe cap and a puncture-resistant textile sole (Helium®), making it ideal for work environments where safety is a priority. The Cool Mesh textile lining and the replaceable insole ensure high wearing comfort, while the TPU outsole offers oil and gasoline resistance as well as antistatic properties, meeting EN ISO 20345 S1PL SR FO standards. The PU Power Foam midsole provides additional cushioning and makes the sandal a vegan option. Available in sizes 36 to 48 and suitable for both genders, this model is characterized by its lightweight of only 485 g in size 42. The quick-release fastener allows for easy on and off, further enhancing functionality.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1PL
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant textile insole (tested with a 4.5 mm test nail with at least 1100 N pressure) and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Steel toe cap
Steel toe caps are somewhat heavier than other materials, but are very stable and resistant. As a rule, they can withstand a force of at least 200 joules.
Slip resistance SR
The shoe is slip-resistant on ceramic tile floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Vegan
The shoe is leather-free and free from other animal products. No animal materials or auxiliary materials with components of animal origin are used in production either.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
