The Uvex safety sandal ESD 1 G2 in black/orange combines functionality and safety in a modern design. This unisex sandal is made from high-quality micro velour and features a perforated surface that ensures breathability. The practical Velcro fastener allows for quick and easy adjustment.
Equipped with a wide xenova® plastic toe cap, the model offers effective toe protection and meets the safety class S1 according to EN ISO 20345:2011 as well as the ESD requirements according to DIN EN 61340-5-1. The sandal is available in sizes 35 to 52 and is characterized by its slip resistance SRC, making it particularly slip-resistant.
The safety sandal is also suitable for orthopedic insoles according to DGUV 112-191 and comes with a cushioning comfort insole that is replaceable. The lightweight of only 500 g in size 42 and the possibility to obtain special widths on request complete the user-friendly profile. Ideal for work environments where safety and comfort are required.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1
Shoes with a protective toe cap. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Very lightweight shoe
The shoe is made of textile material and therefore has a low weight (size 42 less than 500 g). The low weight significantly reduces the effort and energy required from the wearer.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
uvex xenova® system
The high-performance, completely metal-free uvex xenova® system is used to protect the foot in the safety shoe. The protective toe cap fits perfectly and guarantees special comfort when working on the knees and bumping. The flexible, penetration-resistant midsole fits exactly to the insole in its width, does not act as a cold bridge and thus promotes comfort when worn.
