The Uvex safety shoe ESD 1 G2 in Black/Red combines high safety standards with modern design and comfort. This unisex half shoe is equipped with a wide xenovaĀ® plastic cap and meets the standards EN ISO 20345:2011 S1P SRC as well as DIN EN 61340-5-1. The upper material of perforated microvelour and the Distance Mesh lining ensure breathability and wearing comfort. The size range extends from 35 to 52 and offers a standard width of 11, with the option to obtain special widths upon request. The TPU outsole provides excellent slip resistance (SRC), and the shoe is suitable for the use of orthopedic inserts according to DGUV 112-191. The quick-release closure allows for easy on and off, while the cushioning comfort insole and the metal-free penetration protection ensure additional comfort and safety. Ideal for work environments that require both protection and comfort.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1P
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Very lightweight shoe
The shoe is made of textile material and therefore has a low weight (size 42 less than 500 g). The low weight significantly reduces the effort and energy required from the wearer.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
uvex xenovaĀ® system
The high-performance, completely metal-free uvex xenovaĀ® system is used to protect the foot in the safety shoe. The protective toe cap fits perfectly and guarantees special comfort when working on the knees and bumping. The flexible, penetration-resistant midsole fits exactly to the insole in its width, does not act as a cold bridge and thus promotes comfort when worn.
