The IAN XXTP red Easy ESD safety sandal from Elten is a highly functional protective gear specifically designed for work environments where electrical discharges can pose a risk. This unisex sandal is available in sizes 35 to 48 and features an appealing black and red design. The upper material is made of durable textile, while toe protection is ensured by a plastic cap. The sandal has a PU/TPU outsole that is not only oil and chemical resistant, but also has antistatic properties and excellent slip resistance (SR) according to EN ISO 20345. Notably, it incorporates WELLMAXX technology with a sole core made from Infinergy® by BASF, which ensures optimal cushioning behavior and minimizes fatigue. The sandal is certified according to DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345 S1, SRC, Form A, and features a Velcro closure for quick and easy on and off. The insole is replaceable, and there is the option to use orthopedic insoles according to DGUV 112-191, which further enhances wearing comfort. The lightweight of 543 g in size 42 additionally supports comfort during long wearing periods.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1
Shoes with a protective toe cap. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SR
The shoe is slip-resistant on ceramic tile floors with glycerine.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
BASF Infinergy®
Elastic like rubber, but resiliently light. The world's first expanded thermoplastic polyurethane (E-TPU). Combines the properties of TPU with the advantages of foams. Infinergy® has a low density, is extremely elastic and abrasion-resistant and has very good resilience. Infinergy® also has a permanent load-bearing capacity in a wide temperature range (-20 to over +40°C).
Reflective material
In rain, in the shade, at dusk and in the dark, people wearing dark clothing are only noticed at a distance of about 30 meters. Equipped with reflective materials, it provides additional protection through good visibility even in adverse weather and light conditions.
