The Hardy ESD safety sandal from BAAK is a high-quality ESD safety shoe, specifically designed for industrial use. Equipped with an aluminum toe cap and a puncture-resistant, flexible midsole, this shoe offers optimal protection according to the standards DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345 S1P SRC. The upper material is made of perforated microfiber, which, together with a softly padded collar, ensures high wearing comfort. The sandal is available in sizes 36 to 48, with size 48 offering an extended width of 13. The robust and slip-resistant PU/PU sole with PU midsole guarantees stability and safety on various surfaces. Additionally, the shoe is equipped with a practical Velcro closure and features a replaceable insole of the type Baak Softstep, which is also suitable for orthopedic adjustments according to DGUV 112-191 and ÖNORM Z 1259. The sandal comes in an attractive black/gray color and weighs about 530 g in size 42. The outsole leaves no marks, making the shoe ideal for sensitive work areas.

Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1P
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Aluminum toe cap
Aluminum toe caps are approx. 40 % lighter than steel caps, but do not rust. They have very high stability and durability and are recyclable.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Vegan
The shoe is leather-free and free from other animal products. No animal materials or auxiliary materials with components of animal origin are used in production either.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
