The safety sandal "Sun ESD" from the BAAK Street series combines functionality with comfort for professional use. This unisex model is available in sizes 35 to 48 and in the color black. The sandal is equipped with a composite toe cap and meets the safety standards DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345 S1P SRC, making it ideal for work environments where electrical discharge and slip hazards are concerns. The breathable nylon upper and textile lining ensure a comfortable foot climate, while the EVA/nitrile outsole not only prevents slipping but also does not leave marks. The metal-free puncture resistance offers additional protection without increasing the weight; the shoe weight is about 520 g at size 42. The double Velcro fastening allows for quick putting on and taking off as well as individual adjustment. With its standard width 11, the shoe provides a comfortable fit, ideal for long wearing times.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1P
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
