The safety shoe Captain Jens ESD by BAAK combines advanced technology and comfort for professional use. Equipped with a nano-fiberglass flex cap and a metal-free textile penetration guard, this low shoe offers optimal protection according to the standards DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345 S1P SRC. The innovative Boa® closure system allows for quick and precise adjustment, while the upper material made of microfiber and nylon textile ensures high breathability. The sole made of LIEVA (liquid injected EVA) and nitrile offers full-area cushioning and is ultra-lightweight, making the shoe particularly comfortable. Additionally, the shoe is slip-resistant and allows the use of orthopedic inserts according to DGUV 112-191 and ÖNORM Z 1259. Available in sizes from 39 to 48 and in the color black, the shoe weighs only 460 g in size 42. The "Baak Softstep" insole is replaceable, providing additional comfort and hygiene. Ideal for technical use where safety and comfort are required.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1P
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Very lightweight shoe
The shoe is made of textile material and therefore has a low weight (size 42 less than 500 g). The low weight significantly reduces the effort and energy required from the wearer.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
