The BAAK Sky ESD safety shoe combines advanced protective features with high comfort. This shoe is specifically designed for technical professions where ESD protection (according to DIN EN 61340-5-1) is required. It meets the EN ISO 20345 S1P SRC standard and offers reliable protection for the feet through its composite flex cap and metal-free penetration protection. The upper material is made of textile and is available in blue. The shoe is available in sizes 35 to 48 and weighs only 460 g at size 42. The Baak® go&relax system with flex zone in the forefoot area and H-joint supports proper bending of the foot and allows optimal adaptation to orthopedic inserts. The low-cut shoe with lace-up closure features a textile lining and a knitted shaft with a partially expandable hallux area as well as a padded shaft finish, which further increases wearing comfort. The slip-resistant SRC sole provides additional safety on various surfaces.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S1P
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Metal-free
The shoe is completely metal-free. It is made of textile material and plastic elements (protective toe cap, eyelets, etc.).
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
Go & Relax
Baak® go&relax is an innovative system designed primarily for people who wear safety shoes for many hours a day. It is based on three functional elements (asymmetrical toe cap, biomechanically optimized flex zone and biomechanical H-coupling element). In this way, it ensures healthy feet and relief for the entire musculoskeletal system.
