The ESD safety shoe Black Low by FTG, part of the Sport Line series, combines advanced protective features with high comfort. This low-cut shoe is made from a particularly tear-resistant SAFETY-KNIT fabric and features a plastic toe cap and a metal-free puncture-resistant layer. The PU outsole is oil, acid, and gasoline resistant, slip-resistant, and antistatic, qualifying the shoe according to the standards EN ISO 20345:2011 S3 SRC and DIN EN 61340-5-1. The anatomically shaped, antibacterial insole SPORT-LITE is replaceable and supports the use of orthopedic inserts according to DGUV 112-191. Weighing 530 g in size 42 and with a standard width of 12, this unisex shoe offers a comfortable fit, although it tends to run large. For optimal size selection, users should choose the smaller size between two. Available in black in sizes 35 to 47, the shoe is also washable at 30 °C and features a practical lace-up closure.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S3
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole, a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Metal-free
The shoe is completely metal-free. It is made of textile material and plastic elements (protective toe cap, eyelets, etc.).
Very lightweight shoe
The shoe is made of textile material and therefore has a low weight (size 42 less than 500 g). The low weight significantly reduces the effort and energy required from the wearer.
Seamless
The seamless finish ensures greater durability. Shoes without seams are less susceptible to damage and also offer less opportunity for moisture and dirt to penetrate.
Washability
The shoe can be machine washed (at 30°C or 60°C depending on the model).
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.

Developed through FTG's research, the toe cap is made of an innovative and high-quality composite material. It is anti-magnetic, metal-free, athermal, spacious and resistant to a pressure/impact effect of 200 joules. It is also much lower, narrower, aesthetically invisible, but still very comfortable, and complies with the EN ISO 20345 standard.
