The ESD safety shoe Douglas black/red from the Professional Line by FTG combines high safety standards with modern design and comfort. This unisex low-cut shoe, available in sizes 36 to 48, is made from high-quality nubuck leather and offers an excellent fit with a standard width of 12. The safety class S3 not only guarantees a composite toe cap but also a metal-free penetration protection that protects your feet from sharp objects on the ground. The anti-slip PU/PU outsole complies with the SRC standard and ensures a secure grip on various surfaces. Additionally, the shoe is oil, acid, and petrol resistant, making it ideal for demanding work environments. The antibacterial and replaceable insole, type Atomic, supports orthopedic adjustments according to DGUV 112-191. For further comfort, the shoe features padded collar and a practical lace-up closure. The ESD safety shoe meets the standards DIN EN 61340-5-1 and EN ISO 20345:2011 and is antistatic, making it an excellent choice for electronics manufacturing areas.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S3
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole, a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
Penetration protection/midsole metal-free
The penetration protection protects the foot from nails and other sharp objects. Metal-free penetration protection made of textile fabric is lighter and more flexible and covers the entire surface of the foot. However, very sharp objects can penetrate it.
Metal-free
The shoe is completely metal-free. It is made of textile material and plastic elements (protective toe cap, eyelets, etc.).
Overcap
The toe cap is usually made of plastic material (e.g. PU or TPU) and is firmly attached to the shoe. It protects the front area of a work shoe from premature wear and thus extends the service life of the safety shoe.
Exchangeable insole
The insole is not firmly integrated into the shoe, but only inserted loosely. It can therefore be easily replaced if necessary.
DGUV 112-191
This regulation stipulates that orthopaedic insoles may only be used in safety footwear in conjunction with a valid type examination. This is to ensure that specified and tested properties (e.g. antistatic properties) are maintained.
