Developed by PUMA SAFETY, the ESD Airtwist Black Disc Low safety shoe combines functionality and modern design for professional use. This model is made from high-quality, hydrophobic suede and offers optimal protection with its fiberglass toe cap and TPU heel guard. The antistatic rubber outsole is oil, acid, and gasoline resistant and meets the standards EN ISO 20345 S3 and DIN EN 61340-5-1. The innovative EVA midsole along with the EFFECT.FOAM ensures excellent cushioning, while the Evercushion® CUSTOM FIT MID footbed and the BreathActive functional lining guarantee maximum comfort. The shoe is available as a low-cut in black and covers sizes 39 to 47. Weighing 592 g in size 42 and featuring the practical Quick Lock closure, it offers an ideal combination of safety and comfort. Additional HRO requirements and SRC slip resistance complete the profile of this high-quality safety shoe.
Shoes have been tested in accordance with the specifications of DIN EN 61340. They generally have a volume resistance of 7.5 x 10^5 to 3.5 x 10^7 ohms.
Safety class S3
Shoes with a protective toe cap made of aluminum, plastic or steel. They are slip-resistant, antistatic, waterproof and have energy absorption capacity in the heel area. They also have a puncture-resistant steel midsole, a profiled outsole and a closed heel area. A fuel-resistant sole is also possible.
Metal-free toe cap
Metal-free toe caps are plastic/composite toe caps made of fiber-reinforced plastic. They are lighter than steel or aluminum caps and are not thermally conductive.
Slip resistance SRC
The shoe is slip-resistant both on ceramic tiles with NaLS (sodium sulphate solution) and on steel floors with glycerine.
