minION2 - Portable Ionizer
The Simco-Ion minION 2 is a sophisticated, portable benchtop ionizing device specifically designed for the demands of sensitive environments such as electronics assembly and semiconductor manufacturing. With its compact design (98 x 136 x 60 mm) and an ionization area of 30 x 120 cm, it is ideally suited for use in ISO 7 class cleanrooms. The device is characterized by its rapid discharge performance, which effectively reduces static charges and enhances the safety and functionality of sensitive equipment.
The device offers flexible power supply options and can be operated with 24 VDC, including a suitable plug-in power supply. It features a two-stage fan with an off switch and a maximum ozone generation of 0.005 ppm at a distance of 15 cm. The self-balancing of offset voltage ± 10 V ensures a constant ion output and allows for precise control of static charges without manual adjustments. Additionally, the modular wiring system supports the chaining of up to three of these devices to achieve broader coverage.
Local LED indicators and relay contacts serve for error detection and increase operational safety. Due to its compact structure and minimal space requirements, the device is also ideal for integration into machines such as placement machines. With these features, the minION 2 provides a reliable solution for controlling electrostatic discharges in critical areas.
