The PC-120 ESD polycarbonate sheets with dimensions of 2000x1200x10 mm are distinguished by their electrostatic dissipative surface coating, which according to DIN EN 61340-5-1 has a surface resistance of RS = 105 - 108 Ohm. This coating reliably prevents electrostatic charges, making the sheets ideal for use in ESD protection zones. They are excellently suited for electronics manufacturing, for covering displays, and for use in low-dust environments or cleanrooms.
The sheets are thermoformable and mechanically workable, which makes them particularly suitable for transparent protective devices, as they exhibit high impact resistance. The diverse applications include protective devices, machine covers, conveyor belt covers, enclosures, fixture and testing equipment construction, as well as transparent trays.
The polycarbonate sheets have a density of 1.2 g/cm3 and are classified according to fire class B1 (DIN 4102). Their optical properties include a refractive index of 1.585 nD 20. The mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 60 MPa and an impact strength where no breakage occurs (ISO 179/1fU). Thermally, the sheets can be used up to a continuous operating temperature of 120 °C and can withstand temperatures up to 135 °C for short periods.
Each sheet has a usable area of 2.4 m² and is standardly supplied with a 20 mm excess to protect corners and edges. Please note that additional packaging costs may apply when ordering incomplete packaging units.
