The safety Torx, also known as the tamper-resistant Torx, is a special variant of the standard Torx screw head. It has the same star-shaped, six-pointed form as the conventional Torx, but has an additional safety function: There is a small pin in the center of the screw head that prevents conventional Torx tools from being used.
