The EM EYE METER with ESD sensor, model CTM048-21, is a state-of-the-art, portable measuring device specifically designed for monitoring and analyzing electromagnetic and electrostatic fields as well as radio frequencies. It aims to minimize ESD risks, ensure compliance with safety standards, and identify sources of interference in electronic devices. This device is ideal for use in areas such as electronics manufacturing, maintenance, research, and IT, to guarantee a safe and interruption-free work environment.
The EM EYE METER detects high-frequency electric fields using a miniaturized directional antenna and enables the measurement and recording of individual and average values. Additionally, the device is equipped with an ESD sensor that captures and analyzes ESD events according to various discharge models such as CMD, MM, HBM, or Raw Input. It measures maximum voltage, average values, and allows the setting of thresholds as well as the recording and evaluation of the measured voltages.
The technical equipment includes a modular design, a touchscreen with advanced user guidance, speaker and headphone output, and the ability to save data event-based or at adjustable intervals on a microSD card. The frequency band ranges from 1 MHz to 2.5 GHz. The power supply is provided by a lithium-ion battery or mains operation, complemented by an automatic shutdown feature for energy saving.
The dimensions of the device are 65 mm in width, 32 mm in height, and 105 mm in length. The recommended calibration interval is 12 months or as per the testing equipment list, and the operating temperature ranges from 10 to 40 °C.
