The Workplace Monitor Iron Man Plus CTC331 is an essential monitoring device for use in ESD-protected environments, specifically designed for manual assembly and testing. It continuously monitors the voltage between the ground and the circuit board (PCB) as well as the resistance value between the ground and the work surface. Additionally, it ensures the correct function of dual-wire wrist straps and grounding cables.
When a tool such as a soldering iron or tweezers contacts the work surface and causes a voltage spike on the PCB, the device detects this and triggers an alarm if a preset threshold is exceeded. Optical and acoustic signals indicate malfunctions. The user can choose between two sensitivity levels: high sensitivity starting at ±5V and low sensitivity starting at ±15V. The acoustic warning signal is adjustable.
