The 3M CTM048 EM-EYE-METER is a sophisticated, portable measuring device specifically designed for monitoring and analyzing electromagnetic fields (EMF), electrostatic fields, and radio frequencies (RF). It plays a crucial role in minimizing ESD risks, ensuring compliance with relevant safety standards, and identifying sources of interference in electronic devices. This device is widely used in electronics manufacturing, maintenance, research, and IT to ensure a safe and interference-free working environment.
The EM EYE Meter features an ESD sensor module that detects and analyzes ESD events according to discharge models CMD, MM, HBM, or Raw Input. It enables the measurement of maximum voltage, average values, threshold settings, and the recording and evaluation of the voltage of individual ESD events. Additionally, the device offers an event counter and a Raw Input mode for detailed analyses.
Technically, the device is characterized by its modular design and a variety of features, such as a touchscreen with advanced user guidance, speaker and headphone output, the choice of remote and local antennas, and data recording that occurs event-based or at adjustable intervals. The data is stored on a standard microSD card and can be displayed directly on the device. The frequency bandwidth ranges from 1 MHz to 2.5 GHz, and the device is equipped with both a lithium-ion battery and an option for mains operation.
