The HiTech Water Pump Pliers Cobra 560 mm from KNIPEX are distinguished by their high functionality and durability. These pliers allow for quick and convenient adjustment directly on the workpiece via a button press, which prevents any unintentional slipping of the joint. The fine adjustment allows for optimal adaptation to various workpiece sizes and ensures a hand-friendly grip position.
The particular strength of the pliers lies in their self-clamping on pipes and nuts, which prevents slippage and enables energy-saving work. Their gripping surfaces are equipped with specially hardened teeth, whose hardness of about 61 HRC ensures high wear resistance and permanently secure gripping. In addition, the box joint offers increased stability through double guidance, and the integrated pinch guard prevents pinch injuries.
With a length of 560 mm and a weight of 2780 g, the pliers are comparatively lightweight despite their size. They are made of chrome-vanadium steel and polished, which additionally contributes to robustness and resistance. Suitable for nut diameters up to 120 mm and pipe diameters up to 4 1/2 inches, it is an indispensable tool for professional users in assembly, construction, manufacturing, and workshops.

The high-tech water pump pliers - quick access, fine adjustment

The good reasons for using the Knipex Cobra can be felt in the hand when working: These water pump pliers are light and stable, can be quickly adjusted to the workpiece at the touch of a button and are self-clamping on pipes and nuts.

For pipes, nuts, sockets, for a wide variety of workpieces: apply the Knipex Cobra quickly and precisely with a flick of the wrist. The spring-loaded hinge pin engages securely without moving unintentionally. Thanks to the 25-position fine adjustment, the Cobra can be optimally adjusted to different workpiece sizes. This fine adjustment also ensures that the distance between the handles remains hand-friendly at any opening width.

Self-clamping ensures high efficiency

Thanks to the jaw geometry developed by Knipex, the Knipex Cobra clamps itself to the workpiece. This allows the user to apply force to the desired movement without pressing the pliers legs together - i.e. without loss. Round workpieces can be turned and screw connections tightened and loosened.

Resilient and strong

The Knipex Cobra is additionally stabilized by the box joint. In contrast to pliers with surface-mounted joints, no tilting forces occur here under load - the legs of the pliers stabilize each other in the joint.

Knipex Cobra: many manufacturing steps for high tool quality

We forge the Knipex Cobra from chrome vanadium steel and use a multi-stage hardening process to give it the optimum balance of hardness and toughness. This makes them highly resilient. For a permanently secure “bite” on the workpiece, we also use high-frequency current to bring the gripping teeth to a hardness of approx. 61 HRC.
