Water pump pliers Cobra ES

The KNIPEX Cobra ES water pump pliers feature an exceptionally slim design that, in combination with long, pointed jaws, allows optimal access to the workpiece. This tool is ideal for use in service and maintenance, equipment repair, as well as in the automotive and industrial sectors.
The pliers offer one-handed fine adjustment by pressing a button directly on the workpiece, enabling optimal adaptation to various workpiece sizes and a hand-friendly grip position. The three-point support ensures a secure grip even on flat parts. The box-joint design provides high stability through double guidance, while the secure locking mechanism of the joint pin prevents unintended adjustments.
The gripping surfaces are equipped with specially hardened teeth, whose hardness of approximately 61 HRC provides a permanently secure gripping force and high wear resistance. A pinch guard prevents crush injuries. The pliers are made of chrome-vanadium electric steel, measure 250 mm in length, 43 mm in width, and 16 mm in height, weigh 328 g, and can accommodate nuts up to a diameter of 34 mm as well as pipes up to 1 1/4 inches.

The good reasons for using the Knipex Cobra can be felt in the hand when working: These water pump pliers are light and stable, can be quickly adjusted to the workpiece at the touch of a button and are self-clamping on pipes and nuts.

Quick access, fine adjustment

For pipes, nuts, sockets, for a wide variety of workpieces: apply the Knipex Cobra quickly and precisely with a flick of the wrist. The spring-loaded hinge pin engages securely without moving unintentionally. Thanks to the 25-position fine adjustment, the Cobra can be optimally adjusted to different workpiece sizes. This fine adjustment also ensures that the distance between the handles remains hand-friendly at any opening width.

Resilient and strong

The Knipex Cobra is additionally stabilized by the box joint. In contrast to pliers with surface-mounted joints, no tilting forces occur here under load - the legs of the pliers stabilize each other in the joint.

Knipex Cobra: many manufacturing steps for high tool quality

We forge the Knipex Cobra from chrome vanadium steel and use a multi-stage hardening process to give it the optimum balance of hardness and toughness. This makes them highly resilient. For a permanently secure “bite” on the workpiece, we also use high-frequency current to bring the gripping teeth to a hardness of approx. 61 HRC.
