The high leverage of the diagonal cutter ensures low effort during cutting. The laser-hardened edges with a hardness of approximately 62 HRC easily handle soft materials up to a diameter of 1.29 mm, medium hardness up to 1.02 mm, and hard materials up to 0.5 mm. A low-friction double spring supports the smooth and even opening of the pliers.
Additionally, the mirror-polished surface with a fine oil film effectively protects against rust without flaking chrome parts and disturbing electronic circuits. The ESD safety of the diagonal cutter prevents electrostatic discharges, making it particularly suitable for use in sensitive electronic environments.

The cutting pliers of the Knipex standard series are equipped with precision-ground cutting edges for finest cutting work, e.g. in electronics and fine mechanics.
