The KNIPEX 7932125 ESD side cutter is specifically designed for precision cutting tasks in electronics and fine mechanics. This tool is distinguished by its electrically conductive, dissipative handles and the precisely ground, sharp edges that are suitable for flush cutting both with and without a bevel. The cutting edge hardness is approximately 64 HRC, thanks to additional inductive hardening.
Weighing just 61 g, this side cutter is about 20% lighter than conventional electronics pliers. The screwed joint ensures smooth and low-friction movement throughout the entire opening range, supported by an easy-to-move double spring that allows for gentle and even opening. The ergonomically optimized multi-component sleeves and the pointed head increase handling comfort.
Technical specifications include a length of 125 mm, a head width and thickness of 11 mm and 6.5 mm respectively, and a jaw length of 11 mm. The side cutter can cut soft materials up to a diameter of 1.45 mm, medium-hard materials up to 1.1 mm, and hard materials up to 0.6 mm. The tool material consists of polished and burnished steel, which guarantees high durability and robustness.
The Knipex "Profi" series for highest requirements concerning efficiency and performance. The precision cutting pliers have precision-ground, sharp cutting edges for the use e.g. in electronics and fine mechanics, with a small bevel or without bevel for precise cuts on sensitive electronic components. A low-friction double spring ensures a smooth and even opening. Forged of high-quality chrome-vanadium ball bearing steel with glare-free finish and low weight. All versions are electrically dissipative
Knipex pliers comply with the highest requirements concerning performance, ergonomics, and service life.
Due to a special selection of the used steels and the careful and high-quality processing, the Knipex pliers achieve an optimal durability and service life. Innovative ideas always offer forward-looking solutions for an easy, effective and safe working.
The cutting shapes and cutting performance:
With mini bevel (facet) Nearly flush cut. Fine cutting edges. Suitable for soft steel wire, copper wire and cable.
With small bevel (facet) Normal cut. Suitable for cutting hard and soft steel wires as well as soft materials such as copper wire and cable.
With large bevel (facet) Suitable for cutting hard and very hard steel wires. Long service life.
Without bevel (facet) Flush cut. Extremely sharp cutting edges. Only suitable for soft steel wires, copper wire and cable.
Without bevel flush (facet) Flush cut for soft materials.
Electrostatic Discharge - marking for materials intended to protect other components from ESD by avoiding potential differences.
Mini bevel
Almost flush cut with fine cutting edges. Slightly shock-reduced cut, the cut leaves only a very small point at the end of the wire. Can be used for soft steel wires and copper wires.
