The pliers feature slim, elongated sleeves towards the plier head, allowing for fine and comfortable gripping between the thumb and index finger. The smoothly ground gripping surfaces ensure damage-free gripping, while the low-friction double spring promotes smooth and even opening. A mirror polish combined with a fine oil film provides good rust protection and prevents circuit disruptions caused by flaking chrome parts.

The cutting pliers of the Knipex standard series are equipped with precision-ground cutting edges for finest cutting work, e.g. in electronics and fine mechanics.
