The Weller Erem 549E12 distance cutter is a highly specialized tool for electronics manufacturing, designed for precise separation of components on circuit boards. This model features a fixed cutting length and is equipped with a sharp cutting wheel that ensures clean cuts and effectively controls the distances between components.
The construction includes high-precision joints with a double self-locking screw joint that minimizes wear, as well as a patented opening system that integrates the springs invisibly, thus reducing the risk of injury. The ESD-safe standard handles comply with the MIL standard with a transition resistance between 10^5 and 10^9 ohms.
Another feature is the 'Stop! Stop system', which prevents the blades from crossing over. An optional wire holder is available, providing additional protection against injuries and damage. The blade shapes vary from small to large bevel for different material thicknesses and hardnesses, to a design without a bevel for a flush cut.
