The ESD tweezer with interchangeable tip 5CPR.SA by ideal-tek is a high-quality universal tweezer, specifically designed for handling sensitive components such as glass and ceramic substrates. This model is distinguished by its plastic interchangeable tips, which are made from a carbon fiber reinforced ESD-PEEK plastic. This combination of materials ensures ESD safety and scratch resistance, while the tweezer also offers excellent high-temperature resistance up to a short-term 190°C.
The tweezer has a straight tip shape with a very fine and sharp gripping surface that is smooth to prevent scratches. The total length is 130 mm with a tip length of 25 mm and a width of 10 mm. The tip itself is only 0.5 mm wide and 0.4 mm thick, allowing for precise work. Despite its robustness, the tweezer weighs only 17.5 g.
It should be noted that the tweezer is not resistant to strong acids, alkalis, hot water, or steam. Its chemical resistance includes oils, fats, fuels, and non-polar solvents. The surface resistance is 10² Ω, confirming the ESD properties according to ASTM D 785.
