The Ideal-Tek A249CP replacement tip is specifically designed for use in areas such as micromechanics and electronics assembly, where precision and protection of sensitive components are required. This tip is made from ESD-PEEK plastic, reinforced with 30% carbon fiber, ensuring high mechanical strength and excellent wear resistance. The material composition also ensures a very low linear thermal expansion and outstanding chemical resistance against oils, greases, and most nonpolar solvents.
The tip shape is straight, thick, beveled, and strong, with a width of 8.0 mm and a tip width of 2.0 mm. The length is 40 mm, the height is 4 mm, and the thickness is 1.0 mm. The total weight of the replacement tip is only 1 g, which allows for easy handling. Despite its robustness, the tip is not resistant to strong acids, alkalis, hot water, or steam. The maximum temperature resistance is up to 190°C for short periods, and the surface resistance is specified at 10^2 Ω.
