The replacement tip A2ABCP from ideal-tek, made in Switzerland, is specifically designed for use in micromechanics and electronics assembly. This tip is made from an ESD-PEEK plastic that is reinforced with carbon fibers, providing excellent heat resistance up to 190°C for short periods. The tip shape is angled with a bend degree of 45° and features a beveled, very fine, and flat design with a width of 2.0 mm and a thickness of 0.5 mm. The total length is 40 mm, with a height of 3.5 mm and a width of 15 mm. The weight per tip is only 1 gram.
The material composition of Polyamide 66 and 30% carbon fiber offers very high mechanical strength and stiffness, excellent wear resistance, and a low linear thermal expansion coefficient. These properties make the tip ideal for handling sensitive components where scratch resistance is crucial. Despite high resistance to oils, greases, and nonpolar solvents, the tip is not resistant to strong acids, alkalis, hot water, or steam. The surface resistance is 102 Ω, highlighting the ESD safety.
The kit also includes 2 carbon fiber tips and 3 screws for assembly, with the curved geometry of the tips ensuring maximum visibility and increased comfort.
