WX MS soldering iron series

The WX MS soldering irons from Weller have been specially developed for high-precision soldering work in ESD-sensitive areas. All models are compatible with the Weller WX soldering stations, offer excellent energy efficiency, ESD protection and are suitable for demanding soldering processes in industry, medical technology and aerospace. Depending on the power, they are suitable for different soldering applications and component sizes. The soldering irons are available as individual items or as a set with a matching soldering tip and safety rest.

  • Intelligent soldering irons with different outputs (40 or 150 W) for different soldering applications and component sizes (very small to large)
  • Military standard (MIL-SPEC)
  • Extremely short heat-up time (3-7 sec.)
  • Compatible with WX soldering stations
  • Parameter memory in the iron e.g. standby temperatures, automatic switch-off time
  • Reduction in consumption costs (heating element and soldering tips) thanks to usage sensor
  • Fast, tool-free soldering tip change
  • Change the entire soldering tip when the soldering iron is hot thanks to the active soldering tip (cartridge) system


MS soldering irons are MIL-SPEC-compliant, i.e. they are used in accordance with MIL-STD-2000. In contrast to conventional soldering irons, they have additional insulation to ground, which prevents interference frequencies. MS soldering irons are not compatible with conventional soldering tips, but must always be used with MS soldering tips.
