Power-saving, robust and slim water pump pliers - full torque

The Knipex Alligator holds onto pipes and nuts by itself after being pressed on. This self-clamping effect is possible thanks to the special gripping jaw geometry developed by Knipex. The user does not have to press the handles together, but can convert all his force directly into torque. This feature is particularly useful when loosening tight screw connections.

Compact design - large gripping capacity

In the sanitary and heating sector, work is often carried out in confined spaces. The curved adjustment slot and slim head shape of the Knipex Alligator are an advantage here. As compact as the pliers are, the reachable gripping widths are surprisingly large thanks to the nine-stage ratchet adjustment.

Sturdy and wear-resistant - even for outdoor use

For professional use, the Knipex Alligator's box joint with its double guide offers very high stability. The teeth of the gripping surfaces are induction-hardened to approx. 61 HRC. This guarantees a particularly long tool life with a constant “biting” grip on the workpiece. The Knipex Alligator is robustly built, easy to clean and therefore also an ideal tool for outdoor work.

Knipex Alligator: many production steps for high tool quality

We forge the Knipex Alligator from chrome vanadium steel and use a multi-stage hardening process to give it the optimum balance of hardness and toughness. This makes them highly resilient. For a permanently secure “bite” on the workpiece, we also harden the gripping teeth to a hardness of approx. 61 HRC using high-frequency current.
