The ESD caster wheel of the 550 series features a high load capacity of 100 kg and is specifically designed for use in ESD-sensitive environments. The wheel has a diameter of 125 mm and a width of 32 mm. The wheel body is made of polypropylene and is equipped with a ball bearing, while the tread is made of black, electrically conductive rubber. The hub length is 36 mm and the axle hole has a diameter of 8 mm.
The caster conforms to the ESD standard DIN EN 61340-5-1 and offers a Shore hardness of about 85 Shore A, providing an optimal balance between hardness and flexibility. However, it should be noted that plasticizer migration may cause discoloration of the floor. These characteristics make the caster ideal for applications where both mobility and protection against electrostatic discharge are required.
